Remote Rust DeveloperSalary - up to £60k + Equity + BenefitsWe are exclusively partnered with a global cryptocurrency FinTech looking for a Remote Rust Developer to join their team working on a Greenfield tech migration project.The role can be as remote as desired, whether you're based in the UK or Europe (ideally max 2-3 hours +/- UK time). Their offices are located in central London.The Remote Rust Developer will join a team, currently 10 engineers strong, migrating their current Java/Kotlin solutions across to Rust. All new solutions are built using Rust and you'll gain exposure to different areas of the business including Margins, Options and Matching.We are offering the Remote Rust Developer:development on Greenfield projects using Rustwork on a 24/7 system that is highly available, latency sensitive and consumes 100 messages per secondthe opportunity to join a very talented team with engineers from academic backgrounds including Oxford, Cambridge and MunichAs the Remote Rust Developer, you'll design and implement Microservice solutions, written in Rust and deployed to AWS. Over time, the existing Java/Kotlin code will also be converted to Rust. You'll also gain exposure to implementing their security and data protection services.Knowledge of cryptocurrency is a bonus, however it is not a prerequisite for the role. For the Remote Rust Developer role, a strong academic background in Computer Science/Engineering, or a numerical subject, will be ideally suitable, with some commercial/personal experience with Rust (you'll be expected to complete a technical assignment in Rust).As well as a very competitive salary, the Remote Rust Developer will be offered equity and a lot of scope for progression and learning across multiple technologies including distributed systems, building CI/CD pipelines and devOps tooling like Kubernetes.
