Training & Development Manager - Risk Management Framework
Remote-based£600 - £700 per day3 month contractOutside IR35 Role Overview Our client is looking for a Training & Development Manager to join them on an initial 3 month contract to enhance the implementation of their Risk Management framework. This role will be based remotely.
Background
Our client, as a data company, relies on Technology to enable the services that are developed and delivered to its customers. Across 10000 Technology employees there are departments that support Product Development, Innovation, Architecture, Cyber Security, Service Delivery and Technology Risk. This role is within the Technology Risk function which is a Second Line of Defence (2LoD) function that has the purpose to be specialists who oversee and are business partners in managing "enterprise" risk across the function through:Guidance: providing policies, frameworks, tools, techniques and support to enable risk to be managed in the First Line (1LoD). Where the 1LoD is both Business (Including external) and Technology facingOversight and Challenge: Monitoring and assurance to provide a second opinion on the effectiveness of 1LOD. Reporting an independent and potentially aggregated view of the business. Horizon scanning the future Risk landscape including regulatory change.
Role Objective
This role will undertake delivery focused activities to accelerate and enhance the implementation and embedding of the Risk Management Framework and build risk maturity across the Technology function. Working with specialists from the Technology Risk team, this role will shape, design and deliver a programme of training to accompany the launch of new risk management processes, tools and techniques to enable Technology staff to engage with confidence. It will also define the structure and operational processes to maintain a Risk Management training and development capability in business-as-usual.
Expected Experience
Gathering requirements from specialist technical resources to define an efficient and effective training & development programme.Development of training resources in support of new process implementation, including new IT systems.Creation of engaging training materials across multiple channels, e.g. workshop courses, online self-help etc.Embedding a training and development programme into business-as-usual operation.Exposure to risk management frameworks (or similar)
