We have an excellent opportunity for a Data Modeller on an interesting program of work. Working with a global leader in their field, you will be familiar working in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

*Participates in business requirements gathering and performs data analysis *Understand and translate business needs and requirements into logical data models that underpin application development. This can also include data dictionaries, CRUD matrix, flowcharts and design justification documents.

*Work with the application development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models to support application development.

*Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.

*Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing business capabilities.

*Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata including field mapping.

*Actively participate in meta data definition and management

*Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.

*Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments.

*Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.

*Analyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.

*Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Developers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

*Work with DBA team to design physical models to satisfy optimal performance

Key skills & Experience:

*Experience with data modelling tools such as SPARX EA, Eclipse Papyrus, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, etc (ESSENTIAL)

*Knowledge on database technologies including Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle and MariaDB (ESSENTIAL)

*Able to adapt to new modelling methods

*Experience working in Agile or Scrum methodologies in large heterogeneous teams.
