Principal Software EngineerSalary: up to £120k + Bonus + Shares + BenefitsI am partnered with an established London FinTech who are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive growth and be hands-on with the implementation of their product-focused development.The Principal Software Engineer will get exposure to a full-stack role, with JavaScript (React, TypeScript) and Java / Node.JS.We are offering the Principal Software Engineer:Direct working with the CTO and VP of Engineering to define long-term strategies and spearhead growth opportunitiesA role focusing on architecture, new technologies and use of third-party platformsHeavy involvment with technical decisions and aligning teams for an accurate and efficient development approach.There will be no 'direct' management' in this role, however, the Principal Software Engineer will assist with hiring, as well as mentoring/coaching and pinpointing teamwork to deliver value.The Principal Software Engineer will be working directly with an infrastructure that is Microservice based, utilising Docker and Kubernetes for an AWS cloud deployment. Building React frontends powered by Elasticsearch is a core implementation. Knowledge/experience with distributed systems/architecture would be ideal. Other tech includes PostgreSQL, Jenkins and GraphQL.
