Home BasedAn Incubation Product Manager is required by our client. Our client is the global leader in electronic exam marking systems for the education sector. An Indexing Service Incubation Product Manager will work in the incubation function and will be responsible for creating a viable service that utilises technology to maximise efficiency and ensure accuracy of results. In this contract role you will be incubating an existing proof of concept service into one that the business can adopt in the long termIndexing is the process of digitising the handwritten candidate number recorded on the cover sheet of an exam paper to assign it to the right candidate in the marking system. They have developed some innovative automation technology to reduce the human effort required in this process. They are now looking to scale this to deliver an accurate, timely service that can work for the large volume of paper they process every year.Main Responsibilities* Defining an end to end service encompassing the technology, people and processes required to deliver an effective indexing service
* Analysing processes to find opportunities for improvement and driving through those changes
* Working with the internal customer to define the outcomes and metrics and using an iterative approach to optimise the service to reach them
* Working with our customers and account teams to understand customer requirements and supporting the teams with customer adoption of the service
* Defining the product vision & short and long term roadmap for the product in collaboration with your cross-functional team
* Using a lean product development approach to develop our solution offering in this space
* Owning your product comms - how the roadmap and proposition is communicated internally and externally
* Working closely with the Product Managers in the wider Assessment team to create an aligned end-to-end assessment proposition for our customers.Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Experience working within cross-functional teams to design, develop and launch new products/services to meet customer needs.
* Direct experience with agile software development and lean approaches to new product/ service development.
* Empathetic team player who collaborates closely with others
* Experience in process design or business analysis
* Determined and self-motivated.
* Creative and resourceful problem solver.
* Commercially minded and comfortable with basic financial modelling.
* Domain experience in education or education technology desirable but not essential.
* Experience with lean or Six Sigma desirable but not essential
