A Project Manager (platform delivery) is required for our client based in Exeter, for an initial 6 month contract. The Data Platform Programme has been created to develop research, design, develop, implement and ensure the support, throughout its lifecycle, of a new and 'fit for use' and 'fit for purpose' approach to delivering a Common Data Platform. The role of the Project Manager is to manage projects within a sub-set of the Platform capabilities and lead the project teams on a day-to-day basis. The Project Manager is responsible for driving and overseeing the delivery of the projects to ensure that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. Key to this role is an understanding of Platform delivery rather than generic project delivery or software product delivery. It would be expected that the candidate could clearly describe key challenges in the practice of project management that Platform delivery creates and relate it through examples from previous experience. Essential Qualifications, Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrable experience the management and maintenance of standard project controls and documents (e.g. RAID & lessons logs, reporting, budgets, plans & benefits)Demonstrable experience of responsibility within Platform programmes or products, and a demonstrable understanding of the technical and operational challenges of PlatformsPreviously held similar Project Management, or similar (e.g. Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, etc.) role(s)Prince 2 Practitioner, or similar, qualification(s)BPSS clearance (ideally SC cleared, must be eligible and willing to undertake SC if not)Outstanding teamwork and communication skillsExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including SharePoint and Project)Excellent leadership, management and organisational skillsSelf-starter, analytical with strong attention to detailAbility to work at pace when requiredGood understanding of Data Operations and ManagementExperience in Project Management of technical and data related projects Desirable Qualifications, Skills & AbilitiesOne or more of the following qualifications: PRINCE2, MoP, Agile, APMExperience of working with Agile projectsExperience in Business Change ManagementExperience of working in both the public and private sectorsOver 5 years' experience as a Project Manager, or in a similar role.
