Job title

FTTP Quantity Surveyor

Reports to

Head of Fibre Delivery

Job purpose

The Fibre Quantity Surveyor is the point of contact for all the contractual and cost components of the Fibre Services infrastructure build for FTTP projects.

Working with our Design and Build partners throughout the project lifecycle, the Fibre Quantity Surveyor ensures that estimated and actual costs of delivery are fully understood and communicated to stakeholders.

The role works closely with and provides support to the Regional Delivery Managers and assists the Head of Fibre Delivery with supplier evaluation and selection

Duties and responsibilities

Establish and manage price lists and rate cards with suppliers

Review and verify cost to build estimates from High Level and Low Level Designs produced by our Design Partners.

Value work executed by contractors and certify interim and final payments

Support the authorisation and submission of project variations

Provide commercial and contractual expertise to contracts, drafting and issuing correspondence, claims, budget monitoring and producing contract/workstream performance data

Assist in the monthly measurement of supplier KPI's and reporting

Provide robust, timely and accurate cost and value data including their progress in relation to the programme schedule

Experience & Qualifications

Experience in commercial management and the procurement of contractors in a civil engineering / passive networks context.

Ability to negotiate with suppliers and partners

Presentation and report writing skills

Experience of NRSWA and SRWR street works requirements (desirable)

RICS Chartership (desirable)
