HPC Storage Architect / SME - SC Cleared

The Storage Subject Matter Expert (SME) (HPC) is an architect for the storage component of the High Performance Compute technical solution. The Storage SME (HPC) is to understand customer's business environment, business drivers and, business and commercial issues. This understanding is to be used to:

- Inform the development and maintenance of the High Performance Compute project's RCTM with the HPC SME Lead.

- Contribute to Design workshops and engage with the customers experts to assure the High Performance Compute project's approach and output artefacts.

- Contribute to solution / service / security trade-off decisions.

- Contribute to developing and documenting the Design of the High Performance Compute project's solution during the Design Phase of the High Performance Compute project.

- Assist with the High Performance Compute project's performance benchmarking of the solution.

- Prepare for the Implementation Phase of the High Performance Compute project.

The Storage SME (HPC) is required to have the following knowledge, skills and experience to fulfil their role:

- Design and development of the cluster and high performance storage components

- Design and development of low latency parallel file systems

- Experience of managing a shared storage system

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
