Policy Implementation Consultant Reed Professional Services (RPS) has engaged with one of the key Central Government departments to work on a large and complex internal infrastructure and platform project. RPS have an exciting opportunity for Policy implementation consultant to join our team of experts. Project ProfileRPS are looking for a number of Policy Implementation consultants to support a number of key functions across an exciting programme of work within a crucial central government function The consultant will be responsible for defining the operational implementation of government policy into real world action and encourage the strategic operational decision making for future changes. Stakeholder engagement will play a major part in the day to day duties of this project both from an internal and external perspective - working alongside a number of departments and third parties. The consultant will also be tasked with the support of testing a number of operational solutions, while writing clear and effective briefings for the wider team and stakeholder base - whilst establishing and managing clear lines of governance and change control. Skills required Essential:* Experience of working in a similar high profile, complex and challenging environments.* Involvement in implementing existing policy changes into action.* Experience working closely with policy teams across different departments and industryStakeholders.* Ability to create project management products where necessary, including RAID logs* Experience of delivering effective leadership and management controls.* Stakeholder management experience at all levels.* Demonstrable experience of governance and senior decision making.* Demonstrable experience of providing support, guidance and coaching for project /policy teams.* Experience of implementation action plans to drive the project successfully.* Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal. Desirable:* Prior experience of working with Central Government functions or within a consultancy. Additional InformationAs with all RPS work packages at the moment - until further notice and in line with UKGovernment guidelines, this role will be fully remote. However, should this change - consultants would beexpected to available for travel to client site locations - primarily Westminster, London.
