Excellent opportunity for skilled Junior / Midweight PHP Developer (ideally Full Stack) to be apart of an industry game-changing Fintech. The product had been built by a successful, profitable company servicing a range of companies - from $B+ turnover tech giants, to FTSE 100's, to medium enterprise, to support International financial transactions. Role Info: PHP Developer - Junior / Midweight - Fintech - Remote | PHP, LaravelRemote-Based | £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits Who we are We power a financial tool that solves a problem for the majority of B2C Global companies irrespective of size, with a working monetisable model and a path to Global scale. You must be enthusiastic, keen to learn, time competent and able to work well under pressure. In return you will be given a voice and therefore must be free speaking and self-motived. The Junior PHP Developer Role: The project is a web application which has been developed on the LAMP stack, using PHP, Laravel and React. You will need these skillsets as well as experience working with others code to succeed. You will also be responsible for implementing and running a development methodology to ensure delivery of the project. As the business grows, the right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a Senior Developer / Project Lead / Product Designer. The type of projects you will be involved in will likely include: + Upgrading and improving our existing platform with new features and improved optimisations.
+ Developing new data services and APIs to fuel our services and platforms.
+ Development new features on the company's customers and content management platform.
+ Refactoring code to reduce complexity and increase maintainability.
+ Implement a robust set of services and APIs that power our platform and 3rd party interfaces
+ Front-end website development to consume internal and external API services.
+ Proactively follow application security and data protection best practices.
+ Proactively identify bottlenecks and fix system errors.
+ Provide operational and technical support for existing applications.
+ Unit testing Required Skills: + 3+ years' experience as PHP developer.
+ Fluent in PHP with some demonstrable commercial experience using any major PHP 7+ frameworks ideally Laravel.
+ Solid understanding of major principles of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
+ Solid understanding of database design fundamentals, data query, manipulating large datasets and experience with MySQL.
+ Solid understanding of asynchronous code execution and queues.
+ Comfortable with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, desirable fluency with React and JQuery.
+ Comfortable with Git version and control management.
+ Test Driven Development (TDD) with PHPUnit and Jest.js.
+ Experience with integration of external Services/RESTful APIs.
+ Experience with AWS and comfortable with distributed application architecture. Beneficial Skills: + Experience with refactoring legacy codebases.
+ Familiarity with Docker.
