Our Central Government client required an experienced Agile Software Development Project Manager (SC Cleared) A Software Development Project Manager is key role in the agile project delivery team, they are required to provide project management capability and deliverables to ensure that work is properly attributed and completed to a sufficient quality.Role and responsibilities; Overall success - Be responsible and accountable for end to end agile software development project delivery through professional and effective project management, ensuring project objectives and deliverables are aligned with programme benefits, appropriately reviewed, governed and signed-off.Task and resource planning.Organising and motivating an agile project team - Leverage agile ways of working.Controlling project time management and budget.Manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships.Analyse and manage project risk and issues.Managing project reporting within a matrix organisation and developing/maintain suitable project documentation.Manage the project change control process to ensure that the agreed process is followed and that impact assessments are completed within agreed timelines.Assure delivery in accordance with the agency's ITIL based process and ensure delivery within relevant statutory and policy obligations. Key Skills and Experience:Understand, articulate and leverage agile project management methods, for agile software development.Excellent entrepreneurial mindset, to allow to think beyond the project deliverables and enhance the resourcefulness of the wider programme and project team membersSet the tone and direction of the project, motivating, supporting and enhancing agile project team members.Maintain the project big picture within the programme to keep knowledge and information flowing between the project team, programme and stakeholdersA sound balance of technical and business knowledge as a hybrid manager, enabling effective communication between technical and business people, providing the 'translation' for business people on technical matters.A successful candidate will likely hold qualifications in the following areas or relevant experience:Leading agile software development teams and Agile Project Management qualifiedFormal professional project management qualification(s), MSP and Prince2 (Practitioner)ITIL methods and Change ManagementSignificant and demonstrable experience of managing agile projects across both business and IT (not just IT and not infrastructure projects).
