ICT Field Support Engineer
Location:  Field based, across Yorkshire.
Salary:  24000-28000 (DOE) plus benefits and use of company vehicle.

Due to continued expansion, we have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic and skilled IT support engineer. Our client is a leading provider of IT hardware, support and services to the Education sector.  Your role will be flexibly based at several partner schools across North and South Yorkshire providing regular, onsite support, as well as attending meetings at the company's Head Office in Sheffield or home-based remote support when required. This is an autonomous role which will require you to provide a broad range of 2nd line support across a wide range of technologies and environments. Being an excellent, confident communicator is also key to this role as it will involve wide ranging engagement with both school leadership teams and teaching staff whilst performing your day-to-day duties.
Working across several primary schools of different sizes, locality and individual needs, this role will be varied and will involve the following key responsibilities, working closely with the company's remote support team and escalating to the Group Technical Lead: - '€¢provide ongoing support of the schools existing ICT infrastructure and perform regular monitoring of the school servers and network equipment.'€¢monitor and maintain school onsite and remote backup solutions.'€¢resolve any issues associated with client devices, printers and a variety of interactive classroom technologies.'€¢assist with equipment installation and specific hardware replacement projects.'€¢work closely with the remote support team to identify, prioritise and resolve all outstanding support requests, escalating to third line support and management as and when required.'€¢Liaise with third party ICT suppliers and contractors to ensure ongoing ICT operations continue to function effectively.'€¢Be the central relationship point of contact for all IT related matters in your partner schools
About you: '€¢Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server/Network Services installation and administration (TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP)'€¢Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 deployment and fault resolution.'€¢Good understanding of LAN & WAN network infrastructure.'€¢Professional ICT skills in implementing and maintaining Microsoft Office 13/16.'€¢Able to demonstrate ability to work independently, organise and prioritise effectively.'€¢Strong communication and interpersonal skills.'€¢Good analytical and problem-solving skills.'€¢Clean, full driving licence. Bonus points for: '€¢Experience of operating in a similar support role in a schools/education environment.'€¢Experience of AV technologies - projector/IWB/Display in classroom environments or similar settings.'€¢Knowledge and experience of administering and implementing educational cloud solutions such as Google Classrooms and Microsoft Sharepoint/Teams.
