The role

As Business Analyst, supporting data warehouse, report writing and analytical commitments, your work will be pivotal to the success of the Hive EPR programme.

You'll become an Epic data model expert, meeting with stakeholders to document As-Is and To-Be data flows. Creating data results using a range of techniques and tools, from basic queries through to multidimensional analyses and data mining, you'll form new data relationships and derivations. And, supporting documentation development including transformations, derivations and assumptions, you'll lead on the testing process.

Required skills and experience

We're looking for in-depth knowledge of programming and scripting languages, and SQL Server Management Studio, and competence in using healthcare IT systems. You'll also need a sound understanding of NHS statutory and contractual deliverables and related issues, with the ability to obtain and present data to address these. It's essential that you have an in-depth knowledge of NHS reporting requirements, data standards and definitions.

You'll also bring good BI presentational reporting skills, the ability to write complex relational and multidimensional SQL queries, and experience of data requirements gathering. On a personal level, you're a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and prioritise tasks on your own initiative. You should also be enthusiastic about change, and willing to learn new skills.
