Java Software Engineer / Developer (Mathematics Risk Pricing). Hedge Fund with multi-billion dollars under management is seeking a highly intelligent Java Developer with a good grasp of mathematics to join their global team. You will design and develop core components with a focus on projects related to intraday and end of day pricing of OTC instruments, Risk analysis and P&L calculation as well as troubleshooting and debugging work on these critical middle office systems.

You'll be working fairly autonomously but also presenting ideas and building consensus within a collaborative global team environment where you'll be continually challenged and constantly learning.

Requirements:

Degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above in Computer Science or closely related discipline coupled with a good knowledge of mathematics

Strong core Java development experience including debugging

Strong analysis and problem solving abilities

Experience in a similar trading / finance environment, ideally working on middle office systems - good business acumen, keen to learn more about trading and business operations

Ideally you will have some Python programming experience

Collaborative with good communication skills, happy to work with colleagues in the US
