Senior Project Manager (Central Government) The UK Government have a significant number of major programmes in flight and being commissioned. They are facing many challenges in the preparation to leave the EU. We have been asked to aid with raising the level of Project and Programme Management expertise within the business area for a large-scale programme. Our broad remit means we; Reed Professional Services within our Central Government Work Packages play a major role in people's day-to-day life. Who will you be working for? Reed Professional Services provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer's projects go from concept to completion. Our project and programme delivery services are custom tailored to meet individual needs, whilst drawing on broad market experience and proven methodology from a variety of sectors including Media, Banking and Central Government. What we are looking for you to do: As a core member of our Team, as Senior Project Manager, you will be working closely with Delivery Manager and various key stakeholders within Central Government in project planning and leading this transformation programme towards delivery. Skills required for this role are below; Experience: Demonstrable success in similar roles working on high level project delivery focus within Central Government environment. Skills: Ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and engagement. Able to produce concise status reports, plans and RAID logs and Robust Delivery - Agile/Prince2 certified would be a plus. Characteristics: There is frequent internal and external stakeholder management involved, so you should be a compelling and considered influencer, with a consultative and approachable demeanour that will enable your team to deliver to the best of its ability. Although remote initially, all applicants must be willing and able to travel to onsite client locations once government restrictions surrounding COVID19 travel are eased.
