A truly exciting time at Bristol City Council where we are undergoing a total digital transformation, as a result we are looking for a Lead IT Business Partner to join our team.

You will define how best we further develop the existing service delivered by our team of Business Partners in establishing and maintaining effective relationships between the Digital Transformation Team and its internal Customers. 

What will I be doing?

Acting as the face of IT you will be viewed as a trusted advisor and proponent of IT. You will work alongside other colleagues within IT supporting the Business Partners (of which there are three) in working with their Customers and understanding their Service Strategy and short-term goals to ensure they are aligned to, and consistent with, the overall IT/Digital Transformation strategy.

As a council Bristol delivers a significant number of Services from three Directorates, each Business Partner will champion a Directorate whilst collaborating with the team to give a strategic view across the Council.  It is important that you and the team become trusted partners with colleagues at all levels across their respective directorate.

What do I need to have?

You will have significant experience in Business Relationship Management in a multi-disciplined ITIL aligned IT service while working closely with internal customers/suppliers, and project delivery colleagues. You will be a leader and have the ability to manage the performance of teams to achieve set objectives and take appropriate action using relevant policies and procedures in place.

We need someone that has excellent communication skills with the ability to produce cogent reports, deliver presentations, and chair large or challenging meetings. You will also have experience of creating and maintaining a Service Catalogue, defining SLAs, KPI's, and reporting against those services internally, to customers, and to 3^rd parties.
