Huge growth potential: this is a new opportunity for a Digital Design Team Lead to join a recently-opened IC Design centre based in Bristol. Our client is a US-based multinational Semiconductor IP company with a leading name in processor development and signal processing platforms. They are now seeking an experienced Digital ASIC Design expert with proven leadership capabilities to head up a small ASIC team, set for long-term future growth. In this role you will still be very much hands-on, taking responsibility for micro-architecture specification and RTL design of modules in Verilog. You will work directly with the VLSI Director and be responsible for project direction and planning, mentoring and technical guidance of the ASIC team. It could be a perfect opportunity if you’re looking for a fresh challenge, new technology and the buzz of working in a start-up environment (with the backing of a world-leading company!) You will need:
A University degree in Electronic Engineering or similarA proven track record in the design of digital ASICs / ICs, with strong front-end RTL coding skills (ideally Verilog based, however VHDL also considered)Good knowledge of the complete Digital ASIC Design flow, with a good understanding of the workings of design techniques for optimum performance, power / areaPrevious technical leadership experienceYou can expect a very competitive package, including annual bonus, stock units, excellent employer pension contribution, private BUPA healthcare cover for you and your family, gym membership subsidy and more.
