This is a full-time position for 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
Flexible working patterns will be considered
From extreme weather to extremism,
you'll protect sensitive information across government.
Here at HMGCC, we're a centre of technical excellence. Using innovative tech, we develop unique communication systems to help safeguard the country. Our Service Operations Centre (SOC) is at the heart of our work. So when you join this team, you'll have the chance to do incredibly unique work that helps everyone across HMGCC. But your positive impact won't stop there. Whether it's for the Met Office or the Met Police, you'll protect some of the most sensitive conversations across government.
Using your analytical and architectural skills, you'll have the chance to provide specialist support for large-scale IT services across government. Day-to-day, you'll interpret business needs and develop solutions.
As part of this, you'll be responsible for the strategy and design of enterprise ICT architecture. It means you'll maintain a roadmap, guiding the design so it aligns with the overarching technical vision. Liaising with a range of people, you'll provide insightful advice and guidance - especially to a non-technical audience. Plus, you'll inspire everyone in the department to keep up with technological advances and you'll lead our system security design and accreditation.
To join, you'll have experience of creating and maintaining roadmaps and strategies, along with creating solution architecture documentation. This'll all be supported by your background of reviewing and overseeing major system designs, decision and project planning. Importantly, you'll have great communication skills and the ability to talk to a huge range of people.
Ideally, you'll also have working knowledge of enterprise virtualisation and storage, practical experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or proven experience in task automation.
In return, you'll take advantage of our creative environment and personalised training. We'll give you all the tools and development so you can become the best you can be. You'll also receive access to our free on-site gym, an excellent pension and 25 days' annual leave.
