A Systems Architect (Northgate Housing System) is required for our client based in Hull. This will be for an initial 12 month contract. The successful candidate must have experience working with a housing solution, ideally Northgate. Our client is looking for a Systems Architect with extensive knowledge of housing solutions (preferably Northgate Housing System), ideally across all modules and with a view toward helping our client upgrade their system. In addition, knowledge and experience of the Information@Work document management system would be a bonus. The postholder will be required to support the team manager (HMS System Support Specialists) in the provision of a robust and resilient application systems infrastructure and support service that enables the client to deliver improved outcomes for Housing services and represent value for money for Hull residents. Working alongside a team of senior specialists the job holder will provide support for a specific phased project implementing Northgate Housing Solution. The implementation of the Housing System solution has key objectives and the job holder will work alongside colleagues to support the delivery of the desired outcomes. This project is one of the clients first major migrations to the Cloud and so experience is required.To work closely with service areas and other stakeholders, to maintain, develop and improve application systems to meet the changing needs of the service and its customers. The key accountabilities:Assist the Team Manager (HMS System Support) in understanding the information needs of project and Housing Services, including those related to legislative changes.Undertake Application Systems reviews to ensure the full potential of ICT systems is achieved meeting business objectives and service improvements of the project.Recommend solutions required to deliver these outcomes and identify any associated changes to business processes.Produce detailed written specifications for the purpose of implementing improved Housing Application Systems.Support the business by configuring systems as required, ensure business continuity through system availability and support the business by carrying out any necessary tasks and functions on critical business application systems.Provide guidance to service areas on ICT legislation including, Data Protection, Freedom of Information, etc.Act as the ICT functional lead within a project team in relation to key Housing Business systems.Interrogate, manipulate and extract system data required to support data integrity and facilitate accurate reporting and operations.
