IT Infrastructure Services Engineer - Cloud, Server, Hosting & StorageSolihull, Birmingham, West Midlands - Currently WFH / Then Home Based 2 x Days per weekVarious skills in demand include - Windows Servers 2008, 2012 & 2016, Cloud, Azure, Backup Exec, Linux Red Hat, VMware, Hyper-V, NetApp, BAU, MS Genealogy, Office 365, Active Directory, SQL, Storage initiatives for multiple clientele, Hosted Cloud Datacentre, Storage Infrastructure, Physical & Virtual Server Estates.£35,000pa to £45,000 + Bonus + £2,000 On-Call + Overtime + Home Based Working + PensionGlobal IT Solutions Corp are seeking an IT Systems & Server Engineer for their Hosting and Storage Datacentre Team.Working as a key player alongside Senior Consultants and Principle Engineers, you will support the Server, Hosting & Storage Team in the development and implementation of team, departmental and business wide service improvements, plus the input of planning and technical remediation initiatives.Including a mix of BAU and Project work, your key tasks will be to support the strategic planning and implementation of the Hosting & Storage targets and service objectives. This will involve planning, scheduling and implementing all Change Requests and Maintenance activities for the team as well as on-going Root Cause Analysis a within the Hosting and Storage function.Your Key technical expertise will include:Windows Servers 2008, 2012 & 2016MS Genealogy, MS Office 365, MS Azure, Active Directory, SQL, ExchangeVirtualisation, VMware, Hyper-VStorage Infrastructure, SAN / NASHosted Cloud Datacenter, Physical & Virtual Server EstatesSCCM / SCOM,Backup ExecLinux Red HatNetAppProfessional (MCSA or MCSE) Certification or equivalent in the relevant fieldManagement Toolsets (e.g. ServiceNow, Remedy, LANDesk, WorkFront, etc)Windows Server experience or certification in areas including AD, Group Policy, EmailKnowledge and experience across maintenance tool sets (e.g. SCCM, WSUS)Knowledge of backup technologies (e.g. OSSV, DPM, NetBackup, Backup Exec)Your key requirements will include:Experience in the BAU, Shared Services or Commercial IT Services operationConfident in fault diagnosis across technologies & platforms and experience of rectifying faults within strict SLAsExtensive experience in the monitoring and maintenance of internal IT servers, systems platforms of servers and virtual environmentsConfiguring and maintaining monitoring tools and systemsConfiguring and updating Linux and Windows operating systemsKnowledge and experience across maintenance tool sets (e.g. SCCM, WSUS)ITIL Foundation Level as a minimumExperience operating in a change control and configuration management environmentAbility to competently act as the technical point contact of escalation for incidentsThe ability to Investigate potential future technologies and solutions that may benefit the IT and hosting, storage or operating system estateExperience of using Project Management, Time Recording and Service Management Toolsets (e.g. ServiceNow, Remedy, LANDesk, WorkFront, etc)Experience using and reporting with enterprise grade data analysis tools.Experience of managing and maintaining anti-virus servers and solutions.Windows Server experience or certification in areas including AD, Group PolicyKnowledge of backup technologies (e.g. OSSV, DPM, Netbackup, Backup Exec)Professional Certifications desirable but not essential in the relevant field of expertiseMCSE, MCSAVMwareHyperVStorage - NetApp - EMC - HDSITILFor the successful candidate the client will offer a secure and stable working environment, an excellent salary and benefits package and a progressive career path.
