Test Analyst / Performance Engineer London to £65k

Test Analyst / Performance Engineer (Non-functional / Performance Java) *Remote Interview WFH*. Do you enjoy breaking things / taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together? You could be joining a successful software house that provide a complex data indexing solution to large scale clients that allows them to better manage and store their data in the Cloud in a secure manner.

This is a senior, high impact position; you'll report to the CTO and as the first Test Analyst / Performance Engineer be responsible for developing a Performance Testing framework, collaborating with QA, software development and infrastructure teams. You'll write, maintain and improve the suite of tests to validate system performance and stability at scale using the latest automation and performance / load testing methodologies, frameworks and tools to identify bottlenecks and potential design improvements.

You'll be working across the full test lifecycle and providing tactical and strategic test approaches for service level and component level performance testing; performing diagnosis and identification of performance issues in test and production environments and working on recreation and resolution of the issues.

Driven by technology the company can offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as full time work from home for the foreseeable with the intention to slowly return to the office in Reading and maintain 2-3 days WFH per week going forward.

Requirements:

Indepth experience with non-functional testing (performance, resilience and security) on large scale distributed systems

Experience of working in a Java development environment

Good working knowledge of API design, service development, enterprise development patterns and messaging technologies

Experience with at least three of the following: HBase, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, ArangoDB, Postgres, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript / Node.js

Strong analysis and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

Collaborative with strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients
