Cloud ArchitectMalvern6 months My client is looking for an experienced Cloud Architect, to work on AWS projects in Malvern for a 6 month contract.Job description/Person specification:Responsible for the technical specification and design of public cloud environments (AWS and Azure)Advising and shaping technical best practicesWorking in conjunction with product owners, systems engineers and other business stakeholders, take a leading role in developingDriving the creation of prototypes and proofs of conceptEnsuring the security, scalability and robustness of all created servicesHelping define scope, interfaces and estimate project development effortWorking with other architects to provide consistent and novel ways of working, design patterns and cross-team workingPosition Requirements;Essential Criteria:Experience as an architect or lead for cloud infrastructure or cloud-hosted softwareUnderstanding and experience of emerging cloud services and data architecturesExperience in working in an agile software development environmentKnowledge of AWS and AzureDesirable:Previous experience with agency and customers with sensitive informationExperience working with several agile work-flow tools including: JIRA, Confluence, AgileExperience at working with agile at scale using frameworks such as SAFe or LeSSBig Data experienceExperience working with and managing complex stakeholder relationshipsKnowledge, Skills and Experience Required:A university degree in Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent relevant experienceCertification as Solution Architect with AWS or AzureUnderstanding of infrastructure security, software security, threats, vulnerabilitiesExperience with RESTful servicesExperience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Development PlatformsExcellent teamwork skills with an ability to engage with core stakeholdersExcellent communication skills, able to simplify complex conceptsExperienced in working in an Agile environment, with agile tools and in a Matrix structured organisation.Ability to apply architecture designs together with business and product owner requirements achieve a design that provides the best user requirements possible.Due to the nature of the role candidates are required to hold an active SC clearance or be willing/eligible to undergo the process.
