DevOps Engineer / SRE (SaaS Cloud Terraform) *WFH*. Are you a technologist Infrastructure Engineer with a broad range of experience, seeking a role where you can work with and introduce the latest technologies, make a real impact and progress your career?

As the sole DevOps Engineer / SRE at this scale-up technology company you will focus on the security, reliability and performance of the core product, sold to major retailers and leisure providers to enable customer referral incentives. You'll partner with the Head of Engineering and CTO ensuring that ISO27001 accreditation is maintained and compliance with GDPR.

Key responsibilities as an DevOps Engineer / SRE will include improving how the development teams deliver software into production; identifying opportunities for improvement of the client facing product (e.g. improving MySQL queries, helping to ensure a new feature is ready to scale or reducing infrastructure costs); proactively identifying any security risks and troubleshooting as and when required. You'll be working with a modern technology stack which is a Symfony 2 application deployed to AWS, managed by Terraform and SaltStack with multiple releases per week which you'll help to make more frequent. They've started to move towards Docker, Kubernetes and EKS.

Requirements:

You're a technologist with genuine passion and enthusiasm for what you do

You have a depth of software engineering experience and understand the complexities of the stack and how to drive improvements with high quality code and testing

You have designed applications with production strength, high traffic architectures and have an appreciation for complicated SaaS platforms with high availability

You have experience with AWS or other Cloud platform

You're an advocate of automation and have a good knowledge of tools such as Terraform, SaltStack, Jenkins, Git as well as monitoring and logging tools such as the ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack and Prometheus / Grafana

You're collaborative and; keen to learn and share ideas
