Pioneering global investment management firm is seeking a process-driven Trade Support Engineer with a wealth of experience in eTrading operations to enhance their capabilities. They specialise in developing automated trading systems that execute across global financial markets, achieving high quality return for their prestigious client base.

In this Trade Support Engineer role you will be a critical point of contact across Front Office (traders, quantitative analysts) in dealing with user requests, as well as with brokers, exchanges and development and infrastructure teams. You'll be contributing to the smooth operation of the global trading platform, ensuring readiness for both pre-trading and post-trade systems including monitoring and support for end-to-end transaction flow across the trading platform.

As a Trade Support Engineer you'll take ownership of supporting scheduled changes such as application deployments, network implementation, server maintenance and oversight of automated processes, where you'll seek improvement and automate manual or repetitive tasks where possible.

The ideal candidate will be adept at ‘global thinking'. You'll be based in impressive offices in the heart of London, but will also have the opportunity to partner with colleagues in New York and Singapore, playing a key role in aligning investment, technology and operations teams worldwide.

Requirements:

You have experience as an Application Support Engineer or in similar role, with trade flow support experience

You have good knowledge of Linux OS and Bash scripting skills

You have good Python scripting / coding skills

You have SQL experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)

You're educated to degree level (BSc) in a STEM subject

Ideally you have working knowledge of FIX protocol, TCP/IP, multi-cast, tcpdump, clocking (PTP, NTP)

You're a positive team player who excels when working collaboratively
