My client is looking for an Advanced Analytics Consultant to be based in Bristol on an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend.

This lead role provides advanced analytical expertise on high risk, high value deals managed by category and B2B teams. This role would be expected to propose improvement opportunities on such deals and work closely with procurement and the CFU / CU stakeholders to ensure an optimal contractual set up and supplier relationship management.

Strategic

Drives and delivers analytics and intelligence across procurement teams, tracking function / team / individual performance financially and commercially vs. agreed KPIs, supporting decision making with trusted analytics and intelligence

Recognised as an expert in BT in analytics and intelligence, and is recognised by our external stakeholders and industry peers

Operational

Lead the thinking and development of reporting strategy and activities, overseeing information provided across procurement

Lead the analytics and intelligence strategy and support capability for Procurement stakeholders, to enable performance tracking and reporting, appropriate recommendations and continuous improvement

Maintain partnership with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure continuous alignment

Reports insights directly to the Chief Procurement Officer

People

Manage and develop the capability of direct reports

Identify future talents to enhance knowledge and talent pool

Drive and deliver insightful analytics and intelligence to procurement teams, including spend analytics, procurement performance, market research, commodity pricing tracking, industry and commodity insights etc.

Manage and own the maintenance of data by consolidating all internal and external data such as spend, 3rd party market research, supplier screening data, and compliance reporting data and miscellaneous information

Lead the development of KPI target setting and reporting processes, ensure alignment and embedment of KPIs collecting / capture methodologies

Deliver and report specific reporting requirements for the procurement directors and business partners

Maintain expertise around industry best practice standards, policy and framework

Manage senior relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensure continuous alignment

Lead, develop and coach a team of procurement professionals to deliver brilliant outcomes for BT and customers.

7-10 years experience as a leader within the analytics and intelligence function, with strong leadership skills and the ability to lead, and deliver through high performance teams

Extensive experiences in analytics and intelligence area, able to lead and develop both processes and people.

Strong ability to draw recommendations from value-added analytics, to enable effective decision making across procurement functions, with advanced experience in visualisation and simulation tools, scenario modelling, cost / benefit analysis

In-depth understanding of the linkage between data and the underpinning processes/information flows that move that data across the business

Strong relationship management skills & ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders within a matrixed environment

Ability to manage BT's complex, strategic and commercial characteristics in line with external and internal requirements

Demonstrates strong continuous improvement skills

Demonstrates a track record of delivering continuous improvement that exceeds customer expectations
