Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household and business in the UK can rely on a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supply.

E-Serve is our delivery arm, and manages a number of high profile environmental programmes that support our commitment to creating a net zero energy supply. Our flexible working career opportunities are incredibly varied, so we are committed to recruiting talented people from a diverse range of professional and personal backgrounds - bringing different perspectives and experiences to our work.

As a Business Analyst within our Change Hub you will support a range of programmes that include strategic change initiatives, adapting processes in response to regulatory changes, and general process improvements. Working on incentive schemes to encourage the use of renewable energy you'll ensure that the digital products used to manage the schemes are tailored to reflect current legislation and regulatory requirements.  You'll be part of a team that uses agile methodologies and has a reputation for high quality work, operating in a fast-paced environment. Working with large groups of stakeholders across different teams you'll help to define business needs and translate these into accurate user stories, and practical outcomes that support business improvement.

You should already have experience of working in an agile, collaborative team environment, and your business analysis experience should include: stakeholder engagement; change management; requirements engineering; business architecture, process improvement & modelling; and the software development cycle. Knowledge of Government Digital Standards (GDS) is also important. You'll be an inquisitive person by nature: someone who asks questions to fully understand service needs, and who can be tenacious in encouraging others to think differently about how they work, and the tools that might enhance what they do.

Ofgem is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All employment is decided on the basis of open and fair competition, merit and business need.

Ofgem can offer you a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

Up to 30 days' annual leave

Excellent training and development opportunities

The opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits

Flexible working hours and family friendly policies

Subsidised gym

Interest free season ticket loan
