Java FX Options eTrading Developers - Investment Banking

Looking for strong Java development skills with low latency/ultra low latency development, gained within the FX FX options or derivatives business. Requirements:- Strong Server Side Java, extensive experience of development of real-time, robust and error tolerant systems and highly motivated to work directly with traders and the Front Office.

The FX Options Front Office development team, part of Global Markets IT, develops a suite of business critical applications for pricing and risk managing FX Options. The team works very closely with Quants and Traders to rapidly deliver solutions to the front office.

The role is for an experienced developer, focused primarily on the FX Options eBook, and involves working very closely with the Trading and Quant teams. The candidate must have strong software development and analytical skills. An interest in the business is also desirable, as is experience of working in electronic trading platforms. Experience of the development of real-time systems with a very high uptime requirement is essential.

Essential Skills

Strong Java experience

Extensive experience of development of real-time, robust and error tolerant systems.

Use of unit-testing strategies

Educated to degree-level at minimum in a numerate or technical discipline

 

Desirable Skills

Strong interest in understanding the business needs

C++ and/or C# .NET experience

Source code refactoring

Detailed knowledge of FX Options or another electronically traded asset class
