We have an exciting opportunity for a WordPress PHP Developer to join our growing, fast paced digital agency with reputation for delivering clean, beautiful and superfast web and mobile apps. Role Info: WordPress PHP Developer | Leading Berkshire Digital AgencyReading Base / Part Remote - £35,000 - £50,000 + Fun Perks & Benefits + Part Remote Working closely with the project managers and creative leads you will be responsible for building and maintaining WordPress based sites for a number of new and existing clients. We develop sites for brands, startups and established businesses looking to take their online presence to the next level. Located in beautiful offices just outside Reading we have recently undergone a modern refit including Table football, VR, and chillout areas in a lovely rural location. If you are a passionate, engaging and driven individual (and a love music and technology!), this is an excellent opportunity to be part of the beating heart of the onsite team and make a real mark within the business as we grow. WordPress Developer Skills Required: + 4+ years previous agency experience
+ Experience developing WordPress plugins
+ Ability to build custom themes from scratch using ACF
+ WordPress speed optimisation techniques and best practices
+ Custom WooCommerce development
+ Nginx and Apache configuration and management
+ Knowledge of RESTful API
+ Knowledge of relational database systems (MSSQL or MYSQL)
+ Experience with version control such as BitBucket or GitHub
+ Have an understanding and use of JSON/XML/REST/AJAX
+ Version Control (Git/Bitbucket) Beneficial / Bonus Points: + Knowledge of Roots.io stack a huge bonus!
+ Experience using Modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel
