As IT Service Manager you'll play a key liaison role between the delivery of ICT services and service users across the organisation. You'll ensure that requirements and expectations are clearly defined and then work closely with IT service functions to ensure that a reliable, high quality IT service supports effective business operations and oversee the day-to-day delivery of the product plan, including the scheduling of releases. You'll maintain a focus on the whole life of service provision (from design through to operations) and draw on the combined resource of IT Products, suppliers and vendors support to provide a resilient, user-focused IT service.
Good relationship management skills will be vital in this role. You'll be able to work closely with stakeholders to clearly define business need, and then co-ordinate the contribution of IT colleagues, suppliers and vendors to achieve the right outcomes. You'll be comfortable working to agreed KPIs and reporting on these on a regular basis. We expect that you will have a Level 3 Service Management Framework qualification, as well as knowledge of lifecycle and / or capability elements of ITIL, or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through practical experience in your career to date.
