Java Developer London to £75k

Java Developer / Software Engineer (VOD). Are you a technologist seeking a new challenge? You could be working on a revolutionary new sports streaming / data platform to rival the likes of Sky and BT Sport within a collaborative, technology driven environment.

As a Java Developer you'll focus on building a Video on Demand platform that will be used to deliver content to a variety of targets via multiple devices and formats.

You'll be working in a collaborative, technology driven environment with a range of modern development practices including Continuous Deployments to the cloud environment (AWS); making technology decisions and contributing to product strategy.

You will be based in new offices based in West London with a bright and spacious working environment and outside space used for meetings / breakouts.

Requirements:

You have strong core Java development experience and experience of using Java based tools (Spring, Akka, DropWizard)

You have experience of working on large scale, distributed systems with scalability challenges

You're experienced working with and deploying to Cloud services (AWS a plus)

You have experience or the desire to work with and learn Video on Demand services (e.g. FFmpeg, HLS) and Scala

You're familiar with microservices and CI/CD; DevOps environments, Ansible experience would be great

You're a collaborative team member with excellent communication skills
