Linux Systems Engineer / DevOps London to £150k

Linux Systems Engineer / DevOps (Linux Debian ABI Python) *Remote Interview*. Linux technologist sought by technology driven e-trading firm. You'll join a small team, discussing ideas and collaborating to solve problems and optimise e-trading systems performance in a collegiate environment that will challenge you and provide continually learning opportunities.

As a Linux Systems Engineer / DevOps you will help build and maintain the company infrastructure from computers to networks, data storage, operating systems and software that enables trading strategies and the research environment to run globally 24/7. Your daily responsibilities could include complex Python Venvs, Debian packages, operating system deployment and configuration automation, performance tuning, tool development, testing new hardware and software, and much more.

You'll be based in East London; driven by technology the company can offer a remote interview process and work from home during the current social distancing measures.

Requirements:

You have an indepth knowledge of Linux and ABI compatibility

You have advanced Python scripting skills (or coding ability) and a good knowledge of Python tools like PIP, virtualenv, wheels, setuptools

You're familiar with systems configuration management, monitoring and metrics

You have a good understanding of network protocols and file systems

You're collaborative and enjoy problem solving

You have a strong foundation in Computer Science, most likely degree educated

As a Linux Systems Engineer / DevOps you will earn a competitive salary (to £150k, dependant on skillset and depth of experience) plus bonus and benefits.
