Lead Software Engineer London to £95k

Lead Software Engineer / Architect (PHP Laravel SOLID). Would you like to make an impact at a well-funded tech for good start-up that is bringing mental healthcare to people online, reducing waiting times for access to therapists?

As a Lead Software Engineer you'll partner with the CTO and take ownership of the software development for the business. You'll take a high level overview and produce highly technical design and software architecture to ensure scalability as the company grows. You will work alongside and communicate with the existing development team, mentoring them in order to ensure code and product quality are enforced and maintained, correct processes are followed, and that appropriate structure and architectural choices are taken by the team to ensure maintainability and extensibility.

You'll utilise your experience and knowledge of emerging technologies to make recommendations and informed decisions on the optimum platforms and implementations; initially with a focus on building new AI components.  

This Lead Software Engineer role has great potential for career progression, you'll help to build the UK team and be instrumental in the company's success.

There is currently a remote interview and onboarding process with the ability to work at home three days a week going forward and be office based in Hammersmith for a couple of days a week.

Requirements:

You're an experienced Software Engineer / Architect, used to providing technical leadership and taking ownership

You have a strong software development background and are an advocate of SOLID principles and their application

You have current coding skills with experience across the full technology stack, ideally with PHP Laravel, JavaScript, Swift for iOS, Java for Android

You have a good knowledge of CI/CD tools and process and ideally AWS DevOps environments

You enjoy collaborative, complex problem solving and challenging the status-quo

You're results driven with good business acumen and experience of working in start-ups or hyper-growth companies

You're a confident and pragmatic communicator
