PROGRAMME SUPPORT OFFICER
Remote working but may be required to commute to London at short notice
***** Essential Experience Required*****:
- Construction Experience
- Power BI or Tableau
- Management Experience
- Previously set up PMO Function or elements of PMO Function
As a PSO, you will be inextricably tied to the success of the project(s) you are working on, performing a range of duties and driving activities forward, this will involve directly influencing the delivery of the project.
Every project is different and therefore your duties will change accordingly. However, for the most part, you will be responsible for supporting project specific functions and interfaces to the Programme and other projects.
As the project's dedicated project management support function, you will be embedded in the project/delivery team where you will play an important role in enabling the successful delivery of the project.
Your experience within a PMO environment will include reporting using or creating dashboards BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
The post holder will be accountable for ensuring that:
?Project information is fed to the PMO in a timely and accurate manner
?Project Boards and related meetings are aligned to programme standards
?Risks and managed and accurately detailed within the risk management system
?Support Programme Board Secretariat function to deliver quality governance and decision-making processes
*Organise and manage the administration of meetings, circulating papers and reports in advance
*Understand and interrogate project plans
*Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
*Support the Project Manager and team in fulfilling assurance requirements, ensuring compliance and adherence at a minimum
*Ensure compliance with key governance and delivery mechanisms
*Co-ordinate the production of reports and produce reports/management information on request in a timely, accurate and confidential manner
*Develop and maintain the project library, filing, recording and reporting systems
*Support the Project Manager and Team in the production and maintenance of project artefacts
*Advise and assist project team members in the application of project procedures, disciplines and recording and reporting standards
*Support core project functions including risk and issue management, change control, contract management etc.
*Undertake some administrative tasks as specified by the Head of PMO
*Support the PMO and programme to build a robust overview of the programme with respect to Risk, Change, Planning and Commercials
*Support administration of Power Bi reporting environment
*Create and manage dashboards in Power BI

*Strategic Estates staff
QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
*Experience in a large construction programme environment
*A recognised Project or Programme Management qualification of either Prince2 or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or similar.
