If so, then please see below ….Manufacturing Operations Manager: Stockton-On-Tees Circa £60k Huxley Engineering and one of the UK's Leaders in the design, manufacture and installation of high integrity engineered products Marine, Defence, Nuclear and Oil & Gas Applications are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Operations Manager for their site in the Sedgefield / Stockton-on-Tees area, to support and deliver key objectives in the business plans for 2021+.Reporting into the Business Unit Director, the Manufacturing Operations Manager will have direct reports of 2 x Production Managers, 1 x Planning Manager & 1 x Quality Manager and the Manufacturing Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production of materials and manufacturing products, through monitoring existing processes, analysing their effectiveness and creating strategies to improve productivity and efficiency and guaranteeing that the goods and/or services produced meet client or customer needs and are delivered in a timely manner to the required quality standards.Key Responsibilities of Manufacturing Operations Manager Role: Define, implement & review appropriate operating procedures and principles across the business to maximise efficiency, product quality and on time deliveryDevelop and implement a cost-effective and appropriate operating environment; maximising the use of lean manufacturing principlesCreate a value-adding regime of key performance indicators for the Business Unit to drive high quality products delivered on time, in line with the standards & requirementsDevelop the appropriate structure to achieve objectives within agreed budgets and timescalesMaintain a culture of teamwork, resilience and high performance to maximise employee potentialDevelop a culture of continuous improvement and value adding through the implementation of standard workManagement of production facility and a team of direct and indirect employeesLiaise with Production Management to review and identify inefficiencies and improve processesManage and mentor an effective lean and cost down function within the business unit that delivers a progressive and structured return in Quality, Cost and DeliveryTranslate production plans and customer requirements into an effective and efficient capacity plan, focussing on pull based principlesSupport the Business Unit Director by preparing, revising and submitting monthly reports, departmental budgets and forecasting.Qualification, Skills & Experience Required for Manufacturing Operations Manager Role:Degree/HNC in Engineering desirable or qualified by experienceProfessional management qualification preferableTrack record of successful complex operational management in medium volume, high complexity environmentsSolid Manufacturing/Engineering knowledge teamed with industry and operational knowledgeLeadership and people management experienceProven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships - customer focussedHighly developed leadership, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to motivate and engage individualsAbility to communicate directly to individuals at all levels and to set out a clear directionAble to demonstrate manufacturing efficiency and capacity utilisation improvementsBe proactive in promoting Health and Safety in the working environmentFor the successful Manufacturing Operations Manager, a salary of up to circa £60,000 is on offer and this Manufacturing Operations Manager role are commutable from Sedgefield, Newton Aycliffe, Middlesbrough, Bishop Auckland, Durham, Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees, Darlington, Thornaby, Spennymoor, Ferryhill & Yarm.
