Domain Architect - Outside IR35 - 6 Months - £550+ per day Remote for Foreseeable Future Reed Technology are looking for an experienced Domain / Enterprise architect to spearhead a critical project for our Edinburgh based client. The organisation is taking dramatic steps forward in order to re-structure and re-organise their IT software delivery capacity to align key domains within the business. Essential skills & experienceDesigning, gaining consensus, and implementing technical solutions for software development projects across multiple teamsAbility to engage with stakeholders, understanding context and requirements, from diverse areas of a business including Product Management, Service Design, and Operations.Introduction of new or improved processes in development environmentsUsing written, verbal, and visual communication to explain complex topics concisely to both technical and non-technical audiencesDesigning and implementing solutions using service and event-based architecturesIncrementally replacing enterprise legacy systemsDefining infrastructure as code Experience in:Modern Java SpringSpring boot MicroservicesDocker/Openshift/Kubernetes Desirable, but not essential:Experience implementing the Microservice architecture patternAWS Lambda, S3, Cloud Formation, Aurora/Postgres, API Gateway, CDKExperience with domain-driven designDeploying applications to cloud using PaaS and SaaSKnowledge of human-centred, research-driven, inclusive design practicesExperience of using UI pattern libraries to achieve consistent, tested and high quality interfacesExperience of developing within GDS or Digital First (or similar) quality standardsExperience with tools for unit testing, including system test automation frameworksPlease apply if you feel you possess most of the experience listed above, alternatively you can email your CV to
