Cyber Security Specialist - Utilise your experience to implement Cyber Security best practice across the business- Sydney CBD location (currently remote work)- Initial six-month contract, opportunity to move into a permanent role Contract length: Initial 6 monthsLocation: Sydney - (Remote)Start date: ASAP About the role: Join one of Australia's largest FMCG, where you will be providing Cyber Security expertise, embedding best security practice and performing quality assurance throughout programme delivery.As the key point of contact between the internal security team, the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and other vendors, you will act as the SOC manager. This role will be hands on as well as requiring communication and Cyber support throughout the wider business. Your responsibilities will include:Safeguard critical assets by identifying and managing potential cyber security risks and vulnerabilitiesDefine access privileges, control structures and resourcesImplement cyber security improvements by identifying risks, evaluating trends and anticipating requirementsResponsible for Incident Management, Response and RecoveryAssess the status of the organisation cyber security controls and propose improvements where applicableAnalyse high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, FPC), and other attack artefacts in support of incident investigations Skills/experience required:Understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administrationUnderstanding of mobile technology and OS (i.e. Android, iOS, Windows, Unix), VMware technology.Capable of developing and deploying signatures (i.e. NIPS, HIPS, etc.)Proficiency with any of the following: Anti-Virus, HIPS, IDS/IPS, Full Packet Capture, Host-Based Forensics, Network Forensics, and RSA SecurityIn-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (i.e. ArcSight, QRadar, LogLogic, Splunk, etc.) To find out more about this opportunity, please click 'apply'.
