Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Home Based

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Job type: Full time, Permanent

The Company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Java Developer to join an industry leading sports betting and gaming technology provider.

Due to exponential growth, they're now looking for a talented, personable and driven individual to join the growing team and help mentor some of the backend team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking ownership of your assignments:

Analysing and designing with the help of your lead

Coding following company standards

Writing tests

Communicating via the company's communication channels (Jira, Discord and emails) about progress

Ensuring good deployment and usage of deliverables on the company's environments (CI, UAT, QA, Staging, Live)

Helping other team members by code-reviewing their assignments

Collaborating with other employees and external partners to fulfil assignments

Having a proactive approach to continuously improve the platform

Spreading knowledge about your assignments ; mostly, but not restricted to, via team bi-weekly catch-up

The company has its own dedicated first line support team so a part of your responsibilities is to be a support reference by providing second and third line coverage.

Key Requirements:

An intimate knowledge of the following is essential in your role:

Core Java with commercial experience of at least 4 years

Java EE Technologies; EJB, JPA, JTA, JMS

Spring

PostgreSQL, MongoDB

Git

Maven

Any knowledge of the following is highly beneficial:

Wildfly

Apache Camel, Karaf

Apache Ignite / Gridgain

Vagrant
