IT Service Delivery Manager (Infrastructure)

We're looking for an experienced IT Service Delivery Manager to join a large public sector organisation based in Manchester who are going through significant operational and technical change and transformation. In addition to the basic salary, there is a generous benefits package and flexible working available. The organisation and this opportunity will provide the IT Operations Manager a very interesting and varied role, which will provide real job satisfaction - your position within the organisation will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving services for local communities in and around Greater Manchester.

Coming from a technical infrastructure background, the successful Service Delivery Manager will have knowledge of a range of relevant infrastructure technologies covering Servers, Storage, Virtualisation, Office 365 and Cloud computing.

You will ideally have led technical infrastructure teams within an enterprise environment and have experience managing availability and the suitability of the followiing (not all essential):

  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory
  • Dell EMC Storage and Backup
  • Virtualisation - VMWare / Citrix / Hyper-V
  • Office 365
  • Active Directory
  • Hyperconverged Infrastructure
  • Any network/security knowledge would also be beneficial
  • Enterprise network infrastructure environments
  • Leadership of multi-disciplined technical teams

Any knowledge / experience of Prince 2 and ITIL methodologies, supplier / vendor management, report generation and proven experience of IT Service Delivery Management within enterprise environments will be highly beneficial, along with a willingness to work closely with other stakeholders, management and technical team members in ensuring efficient and resilient infrastructure is in place across the organisation.
