C# with Python Software Engineer

Due to the continued growth in demand for QinetiQ's products and services, we are looking to appoint a C# Developer to join our growing Software Engineering team.

Our developers are key to delivering technically challenging projects on time, ensuring they are fit for purpose and are robust when released to customers. As part of a highly skilled and professional team, you will work closely with specialists from across a number of disciplines. The work will be based in Malvern Worcestershire.

The candidate must be willing to undertake enhanced security clearance checks.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Degree in a computer science, engineering or maths subject or demonstrable equivalent experience

Ability to develop software in C# including User Interface (UI) development Experience of using crypto libraries and understanding of using cryptograph and secure protocols

Experience of network server and or client development

Experience of the Software Development Lifecycle including Agile

Soft Skills:

Communication skills, Report writing, ability to estimate effort, ability to determine activities

Willingness to learn/ adaptable / self-starter Desirable Skills:

Experience of developing in Python

Experience of developing C# on MonoDevelop

Experience of using Gtk#

Experience of network communication - TCP/IP, HTTP, asynchronous

Knowledge and experience of using with security and encryption protocols

Familiarity with Atlassian toolset(JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, GIT / Github) Experience of developing on Linux QinetiQ comprises teams of dedicated people; experts in defence, aerospace, security and related markets.
