It's yours to audit.
At MI5, MI6 and GCHQ, we all work towards the same goal - keeping the country safe. It means we do some incredibly important work, safeguarding the UK against cyber-attacks, terrorism and organised crime. So don't just think of financial controls. When joining Internal Audit and Consultancy, you'll assess everything from covert surveillance and agent running, to emerging technologies and cyber threats. As our Deputy Head of Internal Audit (specialising in technology), you'll work at the heart of the UK intelligence community. With great leadership skills, you'll shape internal audit assurance and offer advice across MI5, MI6 and GCHQ. You'll focus on quickly understanding different topics and areas of the agencies, providing customers with the advice they need. Everything you do will help us to strengthen our risk management, governance and internal controls. To join, you'll have an IIA qualification (or equivalent), and/or you'll be a qualified accountant. We'll also expect you to have an extensive internal audit and risk management background. Plus, you'll need impressive knowledge of technology audits, platforms and product sets, and you might have worked in an IT function before. Ideally, you'll also hold a CSA qualification. But, importantly, you'll be able to deliver a portfolio of complex audit work to set deadlines.

As a credible leader, you'll have a successful track record of developing teams and nurturing talent. Plus, your proactive mindset and collaborative ethos means you'll provide solutions ahead of deadlines and build strong relationships with our partners. All in all, your skills and expertise will give us the confidence to carry out our work.   So join us, and the UK's entire intelligence community is yours to audit.
