Business AnalystBusiness Analyst - Coventry - up to £40k basic DOE An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join a well-established and high performing team within a high profile public sector organisation. You will need to be user focused, understand the importance of data, management of data, data quality and lead on providing effective stakeholder and service management and have a drive for identifying and applying continuous improvement. The role: Overseeing the lifecycle of dataDefining, implementing and operating administration of data and systemsDocumenting and maintaining glossaries/policies for data and definitionsEstablishing and monitoring data quality metrics, identifying and resolving issues.Lead and mentor others to build team capabilities Essential SkillsKnowledge of Business Analysis - applying thinking, gathering and analysing information using comprehensive tools and techniquesAbility to map business processes and data flow, data lineage from source to target according to the data and development lifecycleExperience of working within a data discipline or working with data, involving the extraction of data from datasets and transforming or manipulating data to produce analytical outputKnowledge of data, data structures, meta-data, data management techniques, data dictionaries and semantic layer.A good understanding of the links to other areas and how work fits within the structure of the organisation as well as having a good understanding of the external business environmentKnowledge and experience of working with data management systems including MS SQL Databases, TSQL, Data warehouse (star Schema)Knowledge and experience of working with dimensional and tabular data modelling plus visualisation tools such as SSAS, Power BI, R Shiny Please note, to be considered for the Business Analyst position, you must have unrestricted authorisation to work in the United Kingdom and you must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history and educational background.
