A leading public sector client based in SW London, is currently looking for a Django/Python Developer for an initial 6 month, inside IR35, paying up to £700 per day via Umbrella. The ideal candidate will hold valid CTC clearance, or willing to undertake this check.Key Responsibilities -Maintenance, issue resolution and development of a Django web application and associated databases and serversLiaison with users, partners and suppliers to resolve application, database and network issues, including configuration and performance problemsMaintaining security and reliability of the servers and data, including access management, backups, certificate management and system monitoringMaintenance of code repository and automation of deployment process to multiple virtual serversMaintaining application and systems documentation as requiredEssential Criteria -Django Backend development experience (Python, MySQL, Django ORM)Familiarity with configuration control under a Quality Management SystemQualified to degree level in engineering, computer science or a related subject OR having significant directly relevant experience.Experience of network administration in a multi-platform environment (Windows, Linux).Experience of user support with excellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication, including production of technical and user documentationA good understanding of relevant internet and local network standards, protocols and hardware, including security, virtualisation, and remote desktop technology.
