Our client based in London have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme manager to join their team on an interim basis. Working on and affordable workspace project. Applicants must be able to demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples that they have at least three years' experience of effective leadership, management and delivery of a number of interrelated commercial projects as a programme. This programme management experience must also include recent and relevant experience of: effective governance and risk management of a complex, commercial programme;managing and monitoring programme or project budgets, while ensuring high standards of financial administration and probity;leading commissioning processes and the negotiation of commercial agreements to deliver sustainable benefit to the council and its residents;working to achieve agreed outcomes, with requirement for self-directed work;building and maintaining effective collaborative relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and analysing and resolving complex issues involving different end-users and stakeholders while displaying effective judgement;identifying synergies and interdependencies between programmes or projects to target opportunities to maximise delivery and value for money;establishing robust contract management arrangements, and managing contractor performance and improvements; andwriting complex reports within tight timeframes and presenting them in a manner capable of influencing and persuading a range of internal and external audiences. In addition to a project management qualification, applicants must demonstrate the application and implementation of a relevant methodology. Some of the deliverables:All programme documentation including: programme implementation plan, risk management framework; decisions register; programme budget, benefits realisation framework and any other recommended documentation for good governanceCommissioned operators with legal agreements in place, for at least 3 affordable workspaces over next 12 monthsManagement of programme discipline and implementation of required controlsManagement of all aspects of governance related to the Affordable Workspace Programme including meeting agenda and benefits realisation frameworkImplementation of contract management framework and reporting cycle for 3 established operators - with newly appointed operators to be integrated as agreedCo-ordinating the contributions of relevant staff and advisors to achieve the required outcomes (currently one person, but to expand to three shortly). The post is targeted as an equivalent of a PO9 post on our London council scales - this is approx. £61.5k to £65k. Likely qualificationsDegree levelRecognised Project Management
