PROGRAMME DIRECTOR - SERIOUS & ORGANISED CRIME - GOVERNMENT CLIENT

Mission - to better protect the public and improve outcomes

through developing ways of improving connectivity and working practices within all fields of national law enforcement both physically and virtually with a primary focus on the Organised Crime System.

oThe role will provide professional guidance, leadership and direction to teams within the programme/project delivery profession and wider change community

oThis role will also represent the client at external governance meetings, ranging from supporting the client as it works with partners across Serious and Organised Crime to supporting any Cross-Government Transformation Boards.

oThis is a high-profile role with considerable personal influence and impact.

oThis role is required for Phase 1 (estimated to be 18 months);

*thorough stakeholder engagement to identify requirements and bridge capability gaps;

*building cases to deliver maximum benefits and strategic investments to ensure they align with the client and wider government objectives;

*assistance and monitoring of proposals throughout governance life cycles; project management;

*performing in-depth budget analysis;

*and documenting risks and mitigation to provide frequent reports to all Boards up to and including Board as well as other government departments.

oThe role also requires productive engagement with suppliers through procurement /commercial negotiations.

A credible leader who is passionate about transformation and has the skills to set agree a vision with a wider range of demanding stakeholders across the SOC sector through a complex/broad programme of business change.

Able to lead a complex/broad business change programme in a live working environment. Understands the impact of transformational change on a workforce:

*Assemble a compelling options analysis and fully costed business case with credible benefits realisation plans

*Data-driven in decision making, leading and navigating team members through ambiguity by making evidence and/or values-based decisions to prioritise strategically.

Lead effectively across the Agency as part of a joined up senior team, role modelling the agency's vision:

*Lead teams through being flexible and open in thought and action

*Communicate with transparency, involving your direct and matrix team members in the agency's transformation journey

*Passionate about diversity and developing people inclusively, strengthening their ability to deliver and enable them to grow in their roles and careers

Demonstrable experience of working in complex environments where there are multiple organisations with different objectives are brought together to achieve a single goal.
