Job Introduction The Digital and Change Applications Delivery department is seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer and Administrator to manage and increase MPS's use of Microsoft SharePoint. Reporting directly to the Software Development Manager, you will be initially responsible for reviewing the current usage of SharePoint within MPS and developing a plan to increase usage and efficiency across the business. You will be a knowledgeable software professional with hands on experience in the administration and development of MS SharePoint websites using web UI or SharePoint Designer and developing code for SharePoint. You will be responsible for developing applications and leveraging the capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint to support business process management, collaboration, business intelligence and enterprise content management to enhance the operational efficiency in data sharing, both direct to members and in support to colleagues driving an improved member experience. You will be an advocate for agile delivery, with a passion for building productive relationships across the organisation, identifying and developing engagement opportunities with key stakeholders to ensure MPS leverages maximum benefit from the SharePoint platform.Role Responsibility Lead on delivering value from MS SharePoint to solve business problems The configuration and customisation of MS SharePoint using the framework tools Contribute to the ever-growing automation of the organisation by levering the capability of SharePoint workflow to drive efficiencies Lead on current and future SharePoint implementations ensuring that processes follow best practice Provision of technical documentation for consumption by QA, Project Management and Service Management teams. As the technology landscape continually changes, keep abreast of evolving trends, solutions and principles; making recommendations where relevant as to how MPS could utilise these.
The Ideal Candidate Experience of administrating and developing against Microsoft SharePoint, both SharePoint Online and On-Premise Excellent .Net, ASP.NET & SQL programming skills Strong experience of SharePoint 2016 and subsequent versions Practical experience of delivering change using agile and lean methodologies Knowledge of CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps Extensive experience of working in relationship-based environments, with a passion for people Excellent organisational and planning skills Excellent presentation and communication (to both technical and non-technical audiences, written and verbal)
