About The Role Working with the Digital Test Team, the Senior Automation Engineer will act as an internal reference point to the Delivery Team, Stakeholders and 3rd parties, they will develop and drive forward automation and innovation in test practices, focusing on optimisation, whilst seeking and implementing continuous improvements.
Highly experienced and technically proficient Engineer will have an excellent knowledge of testing practices, technologies and processes. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, provide technical advice and establish the automation test frameworks within Digital. About You
Key Skills / Responsibilities: -Strong hands-on knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium and experience of API testing with SOAP UI
-Good knowledge of TDD / BDD development techniques
-Strong appreciation of application architectures, infrastructure, database deployments
-Experience working with CI/CD tools
-Strong experience of implementing solutions against a strategy, supported by exceptional persuading and influencing skills
-Ensure the team collectively take responsibility for quality and drive the importance of automating early within the scrum teams
-Deliver reliable automated tests that are considered as reliable as production
-Proven track record of mentoring and coaching other Engineers to develop Automation skills
-Working with the wider team to recognise where manual tests cases should be automated and ensuring the team have the right level of test coverage for the product
-Ensuring automated regression packs are maintained and updated bases on new functionality and changes
-Learning about new technologies and how best to manage quality deliverables on them such as implementation of Device Farms to enable Mobile Testing
-Self-motivated and results-driven and adopt an analytical approach to problem solving
