Project Support Officer
Leeds - 5 Months
Up to £270 per day (Inside IR35)A Project Support Officer is required for our public sector client based in Leeds. The successful candidate will work on a variety of IT-enabled work that is supporting ongoing change and transformation. Across the portfolio, the IT Service is required to augment the existing delivery teams with additional skills and capacity to help manage the response to increasing demand.You will-
Provide high quality administrative and project support to the IT PMO and its customers and stakeholders
Provide project updates and reports
Carry out high quality project administration including booking rooms, agendas, action logs
Liaise with project teams regarding arrangement for meetings.
Support other strands of the programme of work as and when required
Build effective relationships within the team
Ensure issues are resolved swiftly and sensitively
Provide timely information and updates on arrangements to the team and external collaborators
Provide support to project teams on co-ordination activities and production of quality reports and artefacts.Essential Knowledge and Experience
Experience of managing and delivering projects in a technical environment
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to effectively influence the outputs of others
Experience of working to deadlines, prioritising a complex range of tasks to ensure delivery in a role which makes competing demands on your time
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders, be able to effectively listen to their needs, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
Experience of effectively analysing problems and data, presenting plans and information in a meaningful way to a diverse range of audiencesExperience preferred
Experience of working in an Agile project management environment; advanced Microsoft Project and Excel Skills
Prince 2 accreditation, PMQ (previously APMP) or other similar qualification
Project planning/management industry standard qualifications
