Their team is committed to developing and delivering innovative support surfaces and services to meet the challenges their customers face every day in reducing avoidable pressure ulcers, preventing cross infection and improving equipment safety and availability.Due to company growth, they have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their Southern Service Team. They are looking for a highly personable, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who has a willingness to learn and develop within the business.The Role:Field Service Engineers are responsible for the service, repair, compliance testing, delivering and installing of a range of healthcare equipment and medical devices products to the highest technical standards in accordance with their policies and Procedures.The engineer will provide on-site corrective and preventive maintenance solutions as well as other after-sales technical support solutions.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of the following but not limited to: Hoists/Stand aidsCeiling/Gantry HoistAcute and Community profiling bedsSpecialised bathsActive mattress systemWheel chairs and walking aidsSluice and MaceratorsAbility to plan and prioritise work effectively and efficiently in order to complete servicing and repairs on time.Ensure that all service work is carried out safely and falls in line with current legislation and EHS service procedures.Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, efficiently and effectively in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures before leaving customer site.Must have strong customer focussed interpersonal skills and be positive and solution focussed during all customer interactionsCustomer facing and represent the company, identify leads for product sales as and when required and pass on details to follow up.Ability to communicate and fault find over the phoneEnsure confidentiality on all matters relating to employees, service users/clients' details and information obtained during the course of employment.Ensure a high standard of cleanliness at all times.Continue to perform duties of the service technician in addition to Supervisor duties when required.Ensure the department meets the requirements of all infection control policies and procedures set out by EHS in conjunction with NHS protocols.Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times by self and colleagues.The Candidate:Key Attributes:Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsPersonable and able to establish effective relationships with colleagues and customersA team playerAttention to detailCustomer focusedPersonable and PresentableAnalytical and able to understand cause & effectsExcellent Organisational SkillsAction OrientatedAnalytical and able to understand cause & effectsSolution FocussedPrepares and executes comprehensive plansExcellent Organisational SkillsAdditional Requirements:Must have a full clean driving licenceMust have an enhanced DBS check / Disclosure ScotlandTake part of an on-call rota as and when requiredDue to the nature of the activity, there may be a requirement to undertake work outside of normal hours and support colleagues in other departments.Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Multi-skilled Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mobile Technician, Fault Repair Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Mobile Engineer Controller will also be considered for this role.
