At esure, we're a growing business with big plans to transform our business and disrupt the insurance market through the design and implementation of new technologies built around data.

Role Purpose:

To work as a key part of a cross functional Agile high performing team designing and creating new technical products and services to enable our digital transformation process.

As a digital professional who likes to see the whole picture, you'll be right at home in our team, where you'll build the technical and digital products that will take our customers on the next step of their digital journey with us. It's a role where you'll see both sides - sometimes supporting our applications and platforms, then identifying the areas for improvement and innovation, and then taking green field development from the ground up designing internal and external APIs and building test  environments to support continuous deployment. It's all part of driving rollout of our Enterprise Agile and transformation project, so the ability to challenge today's thinking and processes is essential, as is sharing and embracing new ideas within the team.

You'll need development experience in a scaled Agile environment in digital transformation. This will include working with delivery partners and 3^rd party applications, using technologies such as Java, React, Micro services, database technologies, event streaming and queuing. We'd also like you to bring a background in automated integration and acceptance testing, building and scaling high traffic websites or critical business systems. You will be confident in making technical concepts readily understandable to non-technical people, and to influence outcomes. Already up to speed in code quality practices, you'll have the passion to know more, and to research, learn and implement new tools and techniques - and we'll support you all the way.
