Automation EngineerHolmes Chapel6 monthsUp to £50 per hour JOB PURPOSETo provide technical / engineering expertise for the development, installation, maintenance and compliance of process and equipment automation systems at Holmes Chapel. KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIESJob DescriptionTo ensure that all process and equipment automation systems are correctly introduced to site, are maintained in an operational and compliant state and technical issues are resolved quickly through effective problem solving so that they always meet the needs of the business.To prepare and maintain accurate engineering and validation documentation for process and equipment automation systems in order to support cGMP.To continuously improve the site's compliance status and audit readiness by defining the standards and practices for the development, installation and maintenance of process and equipment automation systems and ensuring they are complied with.To determine and apply best practice with respect to the use of process and equipment automation systems at Holmes Chapel.To ensure that engineering projects involving process and equipment automation systems are delivered correctly to meet time, cost and quality requirements.To communicate the requirements for process and equipment automation systems to external contractors and to train and coach internal associates in their use and maintenance. Employees are therefore expected to:Support and conform to Company safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environmentReport any accident, incident or near miss, whether it be of personal injury or property damageAssist in the investigation of accidents with the objective of introducing measures to prevent recurrenceThoroughly read all safety documentation issued by the Company and comply with its SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSDegree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.5 year's experience in a related engineering discipline incorporating computerised automation systems.Practical knowledge and experience of working with and fault-finding of electrical and instrumentation systemsProficient in the use of computers with specific skills in MS Project, MS Excel and MS Word.
